Hello,  I’m Ms. Crutchfield.  I’m looking forward to working with the children of Holly Ridge Middle.  During the course of the semester we follow the Standard Course of Study for Exploring Life Skills for 7th and 8th Grade.

The following supplies will be needed for this class for projects:

-scrapbook or photo album

-pictures for family/friends scrapbook

-babydoll

-1/2-1 yard fabric, spool of thread, 1 bag poly fiberfill , pincushion , (bx)straight pins

-cardboard box

-box of graham crackers

Exploring Career Decisions 6th  Grade

 

The following topics will be covered in this class for the semester:

 

Units 1.  The World of Work

2.      Exploring Career Opportunities

3.      Career Planning

4.      Career Clusters ( 15 Occupational Clusters)

 The sixth grade student will be exposed to  resume’ writing, job application forms, job skills, and other valuable information to direct them into their future as a worker in society. 

I will inform you of any needed materials for this class.
