Text Box: Welcome from Ms. Veronica Thompson, Assist. Principal Text Box: “From The Bus Stop”  Michael McPherson Holly Ridge Middle School will start the school year with 23 bus routes. The routes are posted on our website as well as the Wake County Public School System website. This time of year is exciting, yet it is also very stressful for many students that might be riding the bus for the first time. Our goal is to help make this transition as smooth as possible. Holly Ridge Middle School falls under the Holly Springs Transportation District. Their contact number is 577-1440. Please feel free to contact me with any issues that may arise, but the transportation office will handle scheduling and personnel matters with drivers. Please review the following items as reminders to help us all have a successful year: Students should arrive on time to the bus stop. Call the school if you believe that the bus missed your stop so we can notify transportation. Please contact Holly Springs Transportation (577-1440) if you have concerns or questions about routes or bus stop locations. Holly Ridge Middle School does not assign routes or stops. All Bus stops, runs and times are subject to change. Grade level administrators will handle bus discipline issues. Please review code of conduct and expectations for bus behavior with your child. Permission to ride another bus can only be approved by Holly Springs Transportation. Parents must send a note to school requesting their child be allowed to ride another bus. Mr. McPherson will contact Holly Springs Transportation for approval. Parents will be contacted if there is a problem. Because of overcrowding, only special circumstances will be considered. Please take the time to periodically thank your child’s driver. Drivers take their job very seriously and often need a pat on the back like all of us! Carpoolers- The Bus Loop is opened to carpool overflow at approximately 7:10. A Holly Springs Police Officer will release vehicles into the bus loop. Please wait for this time as we periodically will have a late bus and it is very congested with both cars and buses in the same loop. Please be very alert in any of our loops as we also have children walking to school. Thank you for your attention to these matters and I look forward to a great year!
