Text Box: Reflections Committee

Welcome back to school - We hope you've been saving your Box Tops and used printer cartridges over the summer break!  This year, the No Frills Fundraising Committee will coordinate the following programs:

Box Tops & Cartridges for Kids - Please send in you Box Tops and used laser & inkjet cartridges and used cell phones.  Turn them in to your homeroom teacher.  Both programs earn money for our school and your class could win a donut party!

Link Your Cards - Link your Harris Teeter VIC card, Food Lion MVP card, and Target credit card to our school.  You can link your cards online at the stores' websites.  Remember to relink you cards each year.  Our school will earn money each time you shop and use your cards!

Spirit Nights - We are planning three or four spirit nights for the upcoming school year.  Possible locations include Java Divine, Homegrown Pizza, Chick-Fil-A and JellyBeans.

Please look for further information being sent home about these programs and activities.  Thank you for supporting our "No Frills" fundraisers here at HRMS.

Let Your Talent Shine!

Holly Ridge Middle School PTA encourages all students to check out PTA’s Reflections Program. Reflections is a very successful cultural arts program that provides students with opportunities to express themselves creatively. This year’s theme is “I Can Make a Difference By …”

Think about what you can do to make a difference. Then create an original work from one of six categories: Literature; Musical Composition (instrument, voice, or combination); Photography; Visual Arts; Film/Video Production; and Dance Choreography. We will recognize a maximum of 12 school winners, and those entries will go on to be judged at the council level, with the possibility of proceeding to the state and national levels.

Rules and entry forms are available at the front office and may also be found at www.ncpta.org, under the Programs tab. To view a gallery of last year’s national award-winning entries, visit www.pta.org. As the rules are very strict, please contact me as soon as you decide to enter, and I will make sure you have all of the information you need for an eligible entry, including two forms that MUST be signed by the student and parent. The deadline for entries is Friday, December 14th.

Looking forward to seeing your creativity and talent!
