Parents & Friends of HRMS:
Here’s
a quick, easy and FREE way for you to raise money for our school – simply link
your Food Lion MVP card, Harris Teeter VIC card and /or Target Visa or Target
Card to our school. These companies will
then provide our school with funds to purchase needed supplies, materials,
equipment, etc. PLEASE NOTE, YOU MUST RELINK YOUR FOOD LION & HARRIS TEETER CARDS
EACH SCHOOL YEAR.
Here are the directions:
Food Lion MVP Card – visit www.foodlion.com, click on the “In the
Community, Lion Shop and Share” link and follow the directions to register your
MVP card. You can also call 1-704-633-8250, extension 3810, to link your card.
Harris Teeter VIC Card – visit www.harristeeter.com, click on the
“Community, Together in Education” link and follow the directions to register
your VIC card. You can also ask the
cashier to link your card to our school’s number (#5453) during checkout.
Target Visa or Target Card – visit www.target.com, click on the “Community
Giving, Take Charge of Education” link at the bottom of the page and follow the
directions to register your Target Visa or Target Card. You can also call 1-800-316-6142 to link your
card.
Another free and easy way to raise money for our school is to send in Box Tops for Education from General
Mills food packages and send in your used
printer cartridges and used cell phones.
HRMS will receive funds for each box top, cartridge and cell phone sent
in for redemption. Please send in your box tops, used cartridges and used cell phones marked
with your child’s name, homeroom teacher (1st period teacher) and
grade. The homeroom teachers will
collect the items. Each quarter, the
homeroom with the most box tops, printer cartridges and cell phones will
receive a class party!

Dear Teachers:
Hello! My name is Linda Brendel and I am the
Chairperson for the HRMS PTA No Frills Fundraising Committee this year. I wanted to explain my committee to you and
ask your assistance in collecting box tops and used printer cartridges and used
cell phones throughout the year.
My
committee is responsible for three programs:
1. Box Tops for Education and
Cartridges for Kids (used printer cartridges and cell phones)
2. Link Your Cards (Harris
Teeter VIC card, Food Lion MVP card & Target credit cards)
3. Spirit Nights (possible
locations include Java Divine, JellyBeans & Homegrown Pizza)
I
am asking each homeroom teacher to collect the items sent in and place them in
the designated bins in the mailroom. If
the packages are not already marked, please mark your name/homeroom/grade on the
items. Each quarter, the homeroom with
the most Box Tops, printer cartridges and cell phones will receive a class
party. I will contact the winning
teacher to coordinate the party and make sure the date and time are convenient
for you.
Attached
is a copy of the letter I sent to parents explaining the Link Your Cards and
the Box Tops & Cartridges for Kids programs. It would be great if the teachers would
participate also! So, please link your
cards and bring in Box Tops and used printer cartridges/cell phones!
I
will be sending home separate flyers for the Spirit Night events. I know the students (and the PTA) would love
to see the teachers there – so please try to attend!
